Guardian 3.3.6 Now Available
Guardian 3.3.6 delivers full support for Revit 2027, including all new postable API commands enabling control over the Autodesk AI Assistant. A large portion of this release focused on optimizing Sync Traffic Control™, Guardian Sync Properties™, and Registration workflows, to name a few, improving stability and reducing some long-standing edge cases.
This release has a strong emphasis on client feedback and feature requests. Many of the improvements and enhancements included here came directly from client input, helping improve day-to-day workflows, usability, permissions handling, management of duplicate content, registration workflows, localization, and overall platform reliability.
Alongside this release, we are also introducing a new Service Bulletin section within our Knowledge Base. This new area will serve as a centralized location for sharing information on known issues, including add-in conflicts, alongside troubleshooting guidance, helpful workarounds, and resolutions. Future Service Bulletins will also be announced via Teams as they are published to help customers stay informed on important updates and recommendations.
As always, we appreciate everyone’s feedback and continued support.

New Features, Improvements:
- Revit 2027 Support: Added full support for Revit 2027, making all Guardian features available in the latest version. This update also includes support for new postable API commands, enabling control over the Autodesk AI Assistant.
- Sync Traffic Control: Improved behavior to automatically pause users interrupted by Revit dialogs or errors. This prevents a single user from blocking the sync queue, and paused users automatically resume once the interruption is addressed.
- Custom Interactions: Enhanced Sync with Central behavior by suppressing Guardian warning and guide dialogs during sync operations, including scenarios such as overlapping room warnings caused by simultaneous edits from multiple users.
- Registered Projects: Project Admins must now be assigned as an admin on the model to access all Registered Projects menu actions. Company Admins continue to retain full access.
- Duplicate Properties: Improved duplicate material detection when using shared assets by including identity data and project parameter changes.
- Guardian Configurations: Added real-time, case-insensitive, partial matching search to Project, Mapping, and Workset Configuration lists, making it significantly easier to navigate and manage large lists.
- Pin Protections: Enhanced the Unpin Protection dialog with a simplified Yes/No layout and clearer messaging.
- Model Properties: Added the ability to multi-select shared parameters and apply changes across all selected items at once. This includes improved visibility and contrast for better readability.
- Model Properties: Added support for XML export throughout the Model Properties dialog, including within Review Changes, ensuring exports are available without interrupting the active workflow.
Bugs Fixed:
- Sync Traffic Control: Resolved an issue that could cause Revit to become unresponsive and crash when using images in reminder or sync message dialogs.
- Company Settings: Corrected behavior where uploaded company logos could appear missing in the Guardian add-in and newly uploaded images were not persisting as expected. *
- Registered Projects: Improved reliability of model data between Registered Projects and Backstage to reduce cases where model information could appear inaccurate or out of sync.*
- Registered Projects: Advanced Search text filters now support partial matching from the beginning of the value for faster filtering.
- Duplicate Properties: Resolved an issue where duplicate families were not being merged during copy/paste. Duplicate handling also now works as expected in both standard and workshared models.
- Model Properties: Resolved an issue where incoming properties were not scanned for usage when overwriting existing families.
- Mapping Configurations: The source toggle in the Mapping Configuration dialog now works as expected for parameter types like Length and Number of Poles.
- Registration: Updated domain-based registration rules to evaluate the full user domain instead of partial values.
- Registration: Resolved an issue where auto-registration workflows could fail to apply the expected Mapping Configuration, causing the Model dropdown to appear blank and the Mapping Configuration to display as <None>.
- Registration: Location rules now apply consistently to folder paths regardless of whether a trailing slash is included.
- Guardian Sync Properties: Viewport titles are now preserved when syncing and downloading viewport types from Cloud Properties, ensuring data remains consistent between Cloud and Model Properties.
- Guardian Sync Properties: Shared Parameters are now properly retained when syncing and updating from the cloud, preventing previously entered data from being cleared.
- Guardian Sync Properties: Linear Dimension Styles now download and sync without errors.
- Guardian Sync Properties: Improved Cloud Properties dialog performance, significantly reducing load times when displaying properties synced to the cloud.
- Guardian Sync Properties: Resolved an issue where the “Checking for properties to be synchronized” dialog could appear unexpectedly during family processing, even when Sync Properties settings were disabled for the model.
- Workset Configurations: Cloud workshared models now correctly reassign the “Views, Shared Levels and Grids” workset to the configured workset.
- Workset Configurations: Restricted Workset Configuration reassignment to authorized users only (Company Admins and assigned Project Admins).
- Workset Configurations: In non-English versions of Revit, translations are now aligned to Revit language standards.
- User Overrides: Corrected behavior where users could still appear in the dialog after being removed, ensuring the list updates correctly after saving and reopening. Additional improvements were made to ensure override frequency settings behave more consistently for users with overridden commands.
- User Overrides: Resolved an issue where User Overrides did not respect configured frequency settings; they now prompt users only at the intended intervals.*
- User Commands: Comments entered when sending project emails are now correctly captured and included in the notification.
- Custom Interactions: Shared Parameters now correctly appear in lists for rule creation (such as Copy Rules) and mapping rules, eliminating the need for manual entry.
- Custom Interactions: Resolved behavior where Guardian Type Protections dialogs could unexpectedly appear when changing Family and Type selections from the Properties dropdown.
- Parameter Prompts: Revision Clouds are now correctly included in the parameter prompts for Revit 2025 and above.
- Backstage: LatestFileSize values for cloud projects are now captured correctly, improving information accuracy for Autodesk Docs models.
- Backstage: Warning counts now update correctly after warnings are resolved, ensuring reporting and analytics reflect the current state of the model.
- Guardian ribbon: Now reflects admin assignment immediately after a user is assigned, ensuring available actions are accurately displayed.
- Localization: Updated French translations in the "Create New Label" dialog and "Description" fields for better accuracy.
- Localization: Updated French translations for “Make Personal” when creating new Tabs in Registered Projects to improve clarity.
