Customized Communication = Increased Efficiency

Training That Cuts Through the Chaos

Revit’s vast complexity often is its own worst enemy, getting in the way of end-user confidence and progress. Guardian enables firms — in real time — to align users with firm standards and best practices while keeping them on track to meet project goals.

Be Proactive, Not Reactive

Instead of fixing mistakes after they happen, BIM managers can define notifications and messages to address potential issues in real time.

Revit Training

Revit can overwhelm end-users, particularly those new to the platform or your firm. Guardian keeps users on track while training them in your standards.

Save Time on the Back End

When BIM Managers aren’t bogged down fixing unintentional errors, they have more time to focus on quality and model management.

Build Consistency

End-users bring their own experience, processes, and shortcuts to Revit projects. Guardian helps get everyone on the same page.
User Commands

Notifications, Advice,
and Best Practices

Create customized messages that guide end-users when they attempt certain Revit actions. User Commands train users on the firm’s Revit standards, proactively prevent errors, and generate insightful data for BIM managers and teams.

Add your LMS training links, keep things light with memes, and include information on best practices to get your training material to your end-users right when they need it — and in a manner that resonates.

Sync Traffic Control

Synchronize Projects Without the Chaos

When multiple end-users are working on the same project, effective synchronization is a must to reduce downtime and ensure work isn’t lost. Sync Traffic Control protects progress while maintaining an orderly sync queue.

Sync Traffic Control provides customized messages to communicate to users when it’s their turn to sync, reminds them to sync if they haven’t in a while, and can even sync for them if they forgot to.
Guardian Messages

Direct Communication Through Revit

Avoid getting lost in the weeds of standard communications channels by sending model-wide and company-wide messages directly through Revit. Senders can include images and links — messages look and feel like something users would receive in email, Teams, or Slack.

Use Messages to communicate critical project updates, onboarding resources, or company-wide software updates such as when new versions of Revit and Autodesk Desktop Connector are available.

Parameter Prompts

Value Your Values

Encourage end-users to immediately input parameter values after placing an element. This prompting saves time later, makes workflows more efficient ensuring data-governance to properly maintained.

Many design decisions are made when elements are placed in the models. Parameter Prompts ensure those decisions are documented in real time, avoiding miscommunications downstream.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to commonly asked questions about real-time user training.
Can I prevent end-users from using a command?
Yes! User Commands feature a Prevent option that stops users from executing specific commands or asks for a password to be allowed to do so.
What happens if someone tries to sync while another end-user is syncing?
Users will be asked to join the queue and are notified when it’s their turn to sync.
What’s wrong with the communications channels we already use?
We’ve heard from our clients that it’s too easy to miss — or just ignore — messages in inboxes or chats, even with notifications on. Our Messages feature sends important model-wide and company-wide messages directly through Revit, where they are less likely to be overlooked.
Can Parameter Prompts be customized?
Yes! All instance parameters in the model can be selected to prompt for a value when placing an element, or a chain of elements, that contains the instance parameter.
