Does Guardian Backstage allow filtering to specific projects, teams, and other groups?

Yes! You can filter data to models, project groups, labels, users, and much more. This precision gives you pinpointed insight that helps you troubleshoot and set strategy.

Is data automatically refreshed?

Yes! The dashboard can be published to Microsoft Teams or a SharePoint site and set to automatically pull in the latest data. By default, Guardian refreshes your Azure-hosted data every three hours.

Does capturing all this data slow down projects?

No. Guardian sends small bits of data, in real time, through a separate thread of the Revit interface and separate processor cores. There isn’t any slowdown at startup, while designers work, or during syncing.

Where is the data stored?

Guardian uses Microsoft Azure SQL servers to host the data. To set up the dashboard, all you do is download our template and plug in the SQL credentials we provide within your account. No infrastructure setup or complex setup is required.

What is the difference between Project Central™ and Guardian Backstage?

Project Central is Guardian’s in-Revit dashboard that captures model behavior in that specific model. Guardian Backstage shows data across the entire firm.
